Greek Gods and Goddesses

Facebook Assignment

Greek Mythology Link: The Greek Mythology Link is a collection of the Greek myths written by Carlos Parada, author of the book //Genealogical Guide to Greek Mythology//. The Greek Mythology Link is primarily concerned with the creative, artistic, literary and inspiring aspects of the Greek myths.

Encyclopedia Mythica: The body of traditional tales concerning the gods, heroes, and rituals of the ancient Greeks. Critical Greeks, such as Plato in the 5th-4th century BCE, recognized the considerable element of fiction in the myths, although in general the Greeks viewed them as true accounts. Use the alphabetical links on the left side of the page to navigate the page.

History Link 102: A commercial website that gives brief overviews of the gods as well as family trees. Sources used are cited.

Theoi Greek Mythology: The Theoi Project profiles each deity and creature of Greek Mythology on a separate page, incorporating an encyclopedia summary, quotations from a wide selection of ancient Greek and Roman texts, and illustrations from ancient art.

The British Museum: Greek Gods and Goddesses Exhibit: The British Museum produced this site to coincide with their Greek Mythology exhibit. Click on Explore to access information about each deity.

GodChecker: Your guide to the gods. They have more gods than you can shake a stick at. Humorous, but accurate, information about Greek Gods and Goddesses.
